A vintage cast brass moneybox in the form of a 1953 Coronation crown, impressed with the words Elizabeth and Coronation on either side of the base and on the understand it is impressed with the words Made In England.
The slot for the money box is in the grown and was probably designed to take old £ s d. It does seem to take more modern currency, within reason, bearing in mind the moneybox is quite small. The money box can be opened by means of the screw towards the top centre of the crown (see photographs).
The box has been lightly cleaned only so as not to retain what patina there is.
The box stands approximately 3.25in tall to the top of the finial on the crown, and measures approximately 2.75in by just under 3in at the base. Weighs over 320g.
