Helen Keller: Her Socialist Years

Helen Keller was not only famous for overcoming her blindness and deafness. Between 1910 and 1929, she was also one of the best known figures in the American Socialist movement. This book includes her arguments for women's suffrage, her opposition to World War I, her defense of the "Wobblies," her views on birth control, her support of the socialist Eugene V. Debs, her pleas on behalf of the unemployed, and her defense of the newborn Soviet Union and its leader, Lenin.
